Ryan Gingeras

Ryan Gingeras é professor no Departamento de Segurança Nacional da Universidade Naval da Califórnia, nos Estados Unidos, e especialista em História Contemporânea Ocidental e do Médio Oriente. É também autor de seis obras, entre as quais The Last Days of the Ottoman Empire e Sorrowful Shores: Violence, Ethnicity, and the End of the Ottoman Empire, 1912–1923, ambas selecionadas para vários prémios literários. Além disso, escreve frequentemente para o New York Times, Washington Post, International Journal of Middle East Studies e para a revista Foreign Affairs sobre história e política internacionais. Nasceu em Nova Iorque e vive com a sua mulher e filhos nas montanhas de Santa Cruz, na Califórnia.
