ABOUT THE AUTHOR

David McKee

David McKee was born in Devon, England (January 2, 1935 – April 7, 2022). He is the author and illustrator of several children's books, including the Elmer elephant series, one of the most beloved characters by children around the world. It published the first title in this series in 1989 and has more than 20 titles published and more than 8.5 million copies sold worldwide, translated into more than 50 languages. Among his most memorable stories are True and Sad Story of Six Men Seeking Peace, King Rollo, and Two Monsters.
