ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Adam Foulds

Adam Foulds was born in 1974, holds a Master's degree in Creative Writing from the University of East Anglia, and currently resides in South London. His first work, *The Truth About These Strange Times*, was published in 2007, and in 2008 he was named Young Writer of the Year by the Sunday Times. His narrative poem in book form, *The Broken Word*, was nominated for a number of awards, including the John Llewellyn Rhys Prize, and won the Costa Poetry Award in 2008. With *The Vertiginous Labyrinth*, he was a finalist for the 2009 Man Booker Prize.
