ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Daniel Silva

Daniel Silva was a journalist and worked for UPI, first in Washington and then in Cairo, as a correspondent for the Middle East. During this period he covered several political conflicts and the Iran-Iraq war. He met his wife, an NBC correspondent, and they returned to the United States, where Daniel Silva was a producer for CNN for several years, having been responsible for some very popular programs, such as Crossfire, The International Hour and The World Yoday, among others. In 1997, shortly after the success of his first book, The Unlikely Spy, Daniel Silva decided to dedicate himself completely to writing, having meanwhile published several world bestsellers.
The Washington Post places him "among the best young American authors of spy literature" and is often compared to Graham Greene and John Le Carré. He lives in Washington D.C., with his wife and two children.
