English Summary: These "commencements" are those of a research program initiated by the Ecole Biblique et archeologique francaise in Jerusalem. The Bible in its Traditions series aims to bring together translations of the major versions of Scripture, their philological and historical annotations, and a systematic exploration of their religious and cultural interpretations over the centuries. It is a question of reinventing the model of the multilingual Bible. Editing Scripture in the 21st century, in fact, can no longer consist of printing a single text-be it the traditional version of a particular confession or the reconstituted original text, more scientific than the traditional text. The Dead Sea Scrolls and the comparative history of the Hebrew and Greek Scriptures have restored the Bible''s status as a polyphonic text, received in diverse and interrelated faith communities.
