Bethany Hamilton

Bethany Hamilton nasceu no Hawai em 1990. Oriunda de uma família de surfistas, pratica esta modalidade desde os 7 anos. Foi atacada por um tubarão quando tinha 14 anos e perdeu o braço esquerdo. Após várias cirurgias, recuperou o prazer pelo surf e mostrou ao mundo a coragem para recomeçar. Actualmente, Bethany está entre os melhores atletas de surf, tendo vencido várias competições internacionais. Em 2004, ganhou o Teen Choice Award para o Adolescente Mais Corajoso.
