Samir Kassir

Samir Kassir (1960 - 2005) was a historian and journalist, and a professor at the Institute of Political Science at Saint-Joseph University.

He was renowned for his editorials published in Beirut's major daily newspaper, An-Nahar. your History of Beirut (Fayard, 2003) was hailed as a landmark work.

He was assassinated on June 2, 2005, in Beirut.
