Kitty Burns Florey is the author of twelve novels, most recently The Writing Master and Solos. She has also written two acclaimed works of nonfiction: Sister Bernadette's Barking Dog: The Quirky History and Lost Art of Diagramming Sentences and Script and Scribble: The Rise and Fall of Handwriting. Born in Syracuse, she has been a resident of Boston, Brooklyn, and New Haven. She now lives in Amherst, Massachusetts.
