Patrick Chabal (1951-2014) foi professor de Estudos Africanos Lusófonos na University of London e diretor do Departamento de Estudos Portugueses e Brasileiros do King’s College de Londres. Publicou vários livros, alguns deles sobre a África lusófona: Amílcar Cabral: Revolutionary Leadership and People’s Wars, The Postcolonial Literature of Lusophone Africa (em coautoria) e Vozes Moçambicanas.
