Zukiswa Wanner

Zukiswa Wanner (nascida em 1976) é uma jornalista, romancista e editora sul-africana nascida na Zâmbia e atualmente radicada no Quénia. Desde 2006, quando publicou o primeiro livro, os seus romances foram indicados a prémios, incluindo o South African Literary Awards (SALA) e o Commonwealth Writers' Prize. Em 2015, ganhou o Prémio Literário K Sello Duiker Memorial por London Cape Town Joburg (2014). Em 2014, Wanner foi nomeada pela lista Africa39 de 39 escritores da África Subsaariana com menos de 40 anos com potencial e talento para definir tendências na literatura africana.
Em 2020, Wanner recebeu a Medalha Goethe ao lado de Ian McEwan e Elvira Espejo Ayca, o que fez de Wanner a primeira mulher africana a ganhar o prémio. Em março de 2024, devolveu a medalha, depositando-a na embaixada alemã em Nairóbi, e o motivo para isso foi o papel do governo alemão na guerra em curso em Gaza.
