Zoë Ferraris viveu durante um ano numa comunidade muçulmana conservadora de Jeddah, na Arábia Saudita, experiência que a inspirou na criação das personagens e da trama do romance À Procura de Nouf, que conquistou o primeiro prémio na categoria de Romance Policial na Santa Barbara Writer’s Conference. Zoe completou há pouco o Mestrado em Belas-Artes da Columbia University e é beneficiária da Graham Merit Fellowship do Departamento de Escrita da mesma universidade.
