Zineb El Rhazoui nasceu em Marrocos, em 1982, e desde cedo se insurgiu contra a situação das mulheres no seu país. Formada em Sociologia das Religiões pela École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales de Paris, tornou-se mundialmente famosa após os atentados do Charlie Hebdo, a que escapou por estar ausente da redação. Ateísta de cultura muçulmana, ativista dos direitos humanos e das liberdades individuais, continua sob ameaça de várias fatwas de morte.
