Zélia Barroso é socióloga, formadora e investigadora dedicada ao estudo da violência doméstica e de género, desde 2002. É autora e coautora de vários trabalhos científicos publicados sobre a violência nas relações amorosas, com especial enfoque para a reprodução de trajetórias de vitimação (feminina/masculina) que, muitas vezes, têm início durante a infância e se repercutem na idade adulta.
