Yvette Santos

Yvette Santos é investigadora contratada no Instituto de História Contemporânea da Universidade Nova de Lisboa. Doutorou-se em História Contemporânea em 2014 e desde então tem-se dedicado a estudar a política portuguesa de emigração durante a ditadura portuguesa, a indústria da emigração e o lóbi marítimo. Mais recentemente, tem-se concentrado na análise do retorno dos emigrantes portugueses. Publica em revistas científicas e em editoras nacionais e internacionais, com destaque para os seguintes textos: «Políticas emigratórias, perceções e práticas de gestão dos regressos durante a ditadura portuguesa (1945-1974)» (CIDADES, 2022); «All hands on deck: the sea as an object to rethink migrations» (coeditora de número temático na Revista Crítica de Ciências Sociais, 2021); «The Portuguese State and its emigrants: policy and practices in the repatriation of the minors» (Child Migration and Biopolitics. Old and New Experiences in Europe, Scutaru & Paoli, Routledge, 2020); «The political police and the emigration industry in Portugal during the 1930s» (Journal of Migration History, 2019).
