William Bynum
William F. Bynum is currently a freelance historian in the fields of medicine and science. His academic career has been linked to University College London, where he is Professor Emeritus of the History of Medicine, and to the Wellcome Institute for the History of Medicine.
He is the science and society editor of the Wiley Blackwell online encyclopedia, specializing in the history of malaria and the impact of evolutionary ideas on medicine. He regularly contributes to various publications, notably the journals Nature and The Lancet or The Wall Street Journal.
