De nacionalidade norte-americana, Will North escreveu diversos livros de não-ficção antes de se aventurar na literatura. Trabalhou também como escritor fantasma de livros de várias personalidades: um presidente, um vice-presidente, um alpinista e explorador famoso, uma equipa de alpinistas do Evereste, um grupo de caçadores de dinossauros e médicos pioneiros. North escreveu também guias dos lugares mais remotos da Grã-Bretanha. Antes de se dedicar à escrita, paixão que nutria desde tenra idade, formou-se em Jornalismo e trabalhou no governo de Jimmie Carter. Will North é o pseudónimo que o autor escolheu para as suas obras de ficção.
