Licenciado em Engenharia Electrotécnica (FEUP) e Mestrado em Engenharia Electrotécnica e de Computadores (FEUP). O trabalho da sua tese de mestrado ("O Sistema Tutorial SUD") foi distinguido com o 1º Prémio na respectiva categoria no II Concurso Nacional de Software Educacional (promovido pelo Projecto Minerva e pelo Ministério da Educação). Foi Assistente do Gabinete de Física do Departamento de Engenharia Electrotécnica da FEUP. Foi Assistente do Departamento de Física do ISEP, sendo actualmente Professor Adjunto nesta Escola. Tem prestado colaboração a outras escolas de ensino superior e não superior, nomeadamente a ESEIG, o ISTEC e a ETVC.
