Virginie Grimaldi nasceu em Bordéus, França, em 1977.
Publicou o primeiro romance em 2015, Le premier jour du reste de ma vie, que foi um bestseller imediato e vencedor do Prémio E-crire Aufeminin.
Depois de Nós foi finalista do prémio Maison de la Presse.
Em 2019, 2020 e 2021 foi a escritora mais lida em França.
Os seus livros estão publicados em vinte línguas, tendo já ultrapassado os dois milhões de leitores.
