Virgílio da Luz Belo

Virgílio da Luz Belo, nasceu no Crato em novembro de 1956, tendo vivido toda a sua juventude na aldeia de Vale do Peso.

Exerceu a profissão de CTA – Controlador de Tráfego Aéreo ao longo de 45 anos, tendo iniciado esta sua atividade no Centro de Controlo de Tráfego Aéreo de Santa Maria, nos Açores.

Cumulativamente com a função de CTA, foi, desde 1999, o Responsável pelo Sistema de Reporte e Investigação de Ocorrências de Segurança ATM, na empresa NAV P, sua empregadora, em representação da qual, por cerca de 3 décadas, integrou diversos grupos do Eurocontrol, na área da Segurança Operacional – Safety.

Obteve o Grau de Licenciatura (2016) e Mestrado em História (2019), na Faculdade de Letras da Universidade de Lisboa.

Foi Professor no ISEC e na Universidade Atlântica.

Desempenha atualmente as funções de Safety Manager da Academia de Aviação Air Dream College.
