Violeta Alarcão

Socióloga. Doutorada em Sociologia pelo ISCTE. Foi investigadora do Instituto de Medicina Preventiva e Saúde Pública da Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de Lisboa (FMUL) de 2004 a 2019, onde participou e foi responsável por vários projetos na área da epidemiologia e saúde pública. Continua a colaborar como investigadora da FMUL no Instituto de Saúde Ambiental e é investigadora do Centro de Investigação e Estudos de Sociologia do Iscte (CIES-ISCTE). Os seus interesses e abordagens de investigação são múltiplos e interdisciplinares, tendo vindo crescentemente a incluir temas que exploram as intersecções da Saúde, Género e Migração num quadro de justiça social e privilegiando os métodos mistos e a investigação participativa.
