Víctor Álamo de la Rosa

Víctor Álamo de la Rosa nasceu em Santa Cruz de Tenerife em 1969. A sua obra literária abarca romances, contos e poesia. Em 1991 publicou um livro de relatos, As Marés Bruxas, traduzido para português em 1995. O seu primeiro romance, El Humilladero, surgiu em 1994. Em 1997, no Rio de Janeiro, cidade onde o autor residia, saiu à luz a primeira edição do seu segundo romance, O Ano da Seca. O seu terceiro romance, A Ilha de Campiro, editado em Portugal pela Casa das Letras, obteve grande sucesso junto da crítica e do público. Do seu romance anterior, A Ilha de Campiro, a crítica disse: «Este livro assombra. Li poucas narrações com tamanha dose de delírio».
