Vasco Gato nasceu em Lisboa, em 1978, cidade onde vive e trabalha como tradutor. Publicou na viragem do século o seu primeiro livro de poesia, intitulado Um Mover de Mão. A esse volume inicial seguiram-se onze coletâneas em nome próprio e duas recolhas de poesia por si traduzida. Daqui Ninguém Entra é a sua primeira incursão na escrita dramática.
