Vanessa Ribeiro Rodrigues é jornalista, realizadora de cinema documental e professora universitária. Realizou o filme documental Baptismo de Terra, sobre a emigração portuguesa no Rio de Janeiro, que recebeu o Prémio de Melhor Documentário Português no Festival de Cinema Art&Tur e a menção especial de TV no Festival de Cinema de Avanca. A reportagem da TSF Palestina, diários de um lugar incerto ganhou uma menção honrosa no Prémio Jornalismo Direitos Humanos & Integração – UNESCO (2015). Em 2014 foi distinguida com o prémio literário OFF FLIP, Paraty, Brasil, na categoria de conto.
