Vanda Amaro Dias
Vanda Amaro Dias, PhD in International Relations: International Politics and Conflict Resolution from the University of Coimbra, is a researcher at the Centre for Social Studies (CES), within the thematic line of (semi)peripheral capitalism: crises and alternatives, and an assistant professor at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Coimbra (FLUC), in the area of European Studies. She is also the deputy director of the Department of History, European Studies, Archaeology and Arts at FLUC and coordinator of the European Studies Section. Between 2020 and 2022 she coordinated the research projects "The geopolitics of deployed national forces: an analysis of the political factors in Portuguese participation in international missions" (2020-2021) and "Portugal's participation in international missions: the contribution of national defense policy to the realization of national interest and the production of international security" (2021-2022). His main research interests are in peace studies, security studies, foreign policy, the European Union, Russia, and Eastern Europe (Ukraine, Belarus, and Moldova).
