Ursula Wölfel

Ursula Wölfel (Ruhrgebiet, Alemanha, 1922) Cursou Germanística em Heidelberg. Depois da II Guerra Mundial trabalhou como auxiliar escolar, estudou Pedagogia e ingressou como professora num colégio para crianças com necessidades educativas especiais. Em 1959 escreveu o seu primeiro livro para primeiros leitores, transformando-se numa das autoras de maior êxito junto do público infantil e juvenil. Pertence ao PEN Club desde 1972 e recebeu prestigiados galardões. Pelo conjunto da sua obra obteve em 1991 o Prémio de Literatura Infantil e Juvenil da Alemanha.
