Em 1999, aos 24 anos de idade, TONY HSIEH (pronuncia-se Shay) vendeu a LinkExchange, empresa da qual era co-fundador, à Microsoft, por 265 milhões de dólares. Mais tarde, juntou-se à Zappos na qualidade de assessor e investidor, acabando por se tornar CEO da empresa.
Ajudou a Zappos a crescer, de uma empresa que quase não faturava, para uma empresa que lucrou mais de 1 bilião de dólares em vendas anuais de mercadoria bruta. Simultaneamente conseguiu que a empresa figurasse na lista anual de "Melhores Empresas Empregadoras" da revista Fortune. Atualmente, Hsieh vive em Las Vegas e creio que tem um gato.
