Tony Attwood, psicólogo clínico, é doutorado pela Universidade de Londres. O seu interesse pela Síndrome de Asperger e a sua experiência clínica de acompanhamento de pessoas portadoras desta síndrome remontam a 1971, sendo hoje o mais conceituado especialista deste assunto.
Reside em Queensland, na Austrália, é Professor na Universidade de Griffith, e viaja pelo mundo inteiro, dinamizando conferências e seminários de divulgação da síndrome.
Das suas obras constam, para além do livro A Síndrome de Asperger, Is Anyone Listening? e Learning and Behaviour Problems in Asperger Syndrome.
