Timothy Sluckin

Timothy Jan Sluckin doutorou-se em Física na Universidade de Nottingham. É professor Catedrático de Física-Matemática Aplicada na Universidade de Southampton.
Publicou mias de 140 artigos científicos, principalmente em teoria dos Cristais Líquidos, mas também em História da Matemática, História da Investigação em Cristais Líquidos, e Modelação Matemática de Sistemas Biológicos e Antropológicos. Em colaboração com os seus colegas David Dunmur e Horst Stegemeyer. Coordenou a edição do livro Crystals That Flow: Classic Papers from the History of Liquid Crystals (Taylor & Francis, Londres 2004).
