Tim Bernardes

Tim Bernardes, born Martim Bernardes Pereira on June 18, 1991, in São Paulo, Brazil, is a singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and music producer. Recognized as one of the most authentic and innovative voices in contemporary Brazilian music, Tim combines elements of MPB (Brazilian Popular Music), alternative rock, and indie with a deeply introspective lyrical approach.

The son of musician Maurício Pereira, Tim grew up in an artistic environment that encouraged his interest in music from an early age. At six years old, he began studying various instruments, including guitar, drums, bass, and keyboard. Later, he graduated in Popular Music with a specialization in Guitar from Faculdade Santa Marcelina, which consolidated his technical and musical foundation. In 2009, he founded the band O Terno with Guilherme D'Almeida and Victor Chaves. The band quickly stood out in the Brazilian scene, exploring a sound that mixed alternative rock with influences from Brazilian classical music.

Alongside his career with O Terno, Tim Bernardes launched his solo career in 2017 with the album Recomeçar, which was widely acclaimed by critics and marked a turning point in his artistic trajectory. The album, which includes songs like "Tanto Faz" and "Era o Fim," delves into themes such as love, loss, and renewal, showcasing his ability to compose with disarming sincerity. Recomeçar was nominated for a Latin Grammy in the Best Alternative Music Album in Portuguese Language category and was highlighted as one of the best albums of the decade by the Brazilian press.

In 2022, she released her second solo album, Mil Coisas Invisíveis (A Thousand Invisible Things), which further explored her artistic sensibility and consolidated her status as one of the central figures in contemporary Brazilian music. This work stood out for its sophisticated compositions, poetic lyrics, and minimalist arrangements, with themes that address the human condition in a universal and touching way.

Tim Bernardes is also known for his collaborations with important names in Brazilian music, such as Arnaldo Antunes, Nando Reis, Tom Zé, and Jards Macalé. His ability to connect with different generations, combined with his talent as a performer and composer, has made him a central figure in the resurgence of MPB (Brazilian Popular Music). With a career that balances collective and individual projects, Tim continues to thrill and inspire fans in Brazil and beyond, including Portugal, where he is enthusiastically received at all his performances.
