Tiago Salgueiro nasceu no Porto em 1974. Prémio Eng.º António de Almeida por se ter licenciado com a média de curso mais elevada da Faculdade de Belas Artes da Universidade do Porto do ano letivo de 1997/98. Publicou cerca de 20 livros para a infância e juventude, estando vários selecionados para o Plano Nacional de Leitura. O seu livro Nesta História eu não entro! foi incluído na lista dos «100 livros para o futuro», uma seleção da Direção-Geral do Livro e das Bibliotecas (DGLB).
