Tiago Cruz nasceu em 1978. É designer de Comunicação, ilustrador, docente universitário e investigador na área da Cultura e Comunicação Visual, Semiótica Visual, Design de Interação e Hipermédia.
Começou por trabalhar em realização plástica das Artes do Espetáculo onde desenvolveu projetos com diversos encenadores, nomeadamente, António Capelo, Rogério de Carvalho, Paulo Castro e Alan Richardson. Posteriormente forma-se em Comunicação Multimédia iniciando a sua atividade enquanto designer de Comunicação. Atualmente leciona no Instituto Superior da Maia (ISMAI) e, ainda na mesma instituição de ensino, desenvolve a sua atividade de investigação como investigador convidado no Centro de Estudos em Língua, Comunicação e Cultura (CELCC).
