Thomas Savage

Thomas Savage was born in 1915 in Utah, USA. After his parents' divorce and his mother's marriage to a ranch owner, she moved to Montana, where she studied and simultaneously worked on her stepfather's property. This experience was significant for young Thomas, who never felt integrated into rural life, and proved fundamental to his writing career. Until he was able to dedicate himself entirely to writing, Savage worked as a welder, insurance agent, plumber, and English teacher.
