Thomas Ott nasceu em Zurique em 1966 e cresceu em Birmensdorf, uma pequena aldeia na orla de uma floresta no cantão de Zurique. É licenciado pela Escola Superior de Belas Artes de Zurique e pela Universidade de Artes de Zurique. Vive e trabalha como cartunista e ilustrador em Zurique e Paris. As suas ilustrações são publicadas em jornais e revistas de todo o mundo. Os seus desenhos estão expostos em galerias de Berlim, Milão, Paris e Zurique.
