Tomás de Kempis (Kempen, Renânia, 1379 ou 1380 – Zwolle, 1471) foi um monge católico da Ordem de Santo Agostinho associado ao movimento espiritual «Devotio Moderna». Passou a maior parte da sua existência no Mosteiro do Monte de Santa Inês, próximo de Zwolle, nos Países Baixos, onde se dedicou à cópia de manuscritos, à redação de textos espirituais e a uma vida centrada na contemplação. Apesar de ter escrito cerca de quarenta obras devocionais, a posteridade conhece-o sobretudo pela atribuição da autoria de Imitação de Cristo.
