Thierry Proença dos Santos (Paris, 1966) é Professor Auxiliar da Universidade da Madeira, desde 2007.
Doutorado em Linguística Aplicada, tem vindo a desenvolver pesquisas e estudos sobre aspectos culturais, literários e linguísticos do meio madeirense.

Tomou parte nas seguintes iniciativas editoriais: Universidade da Madeira: 25 anos, livro comemorativo que coordenou com Nelson Veríssimo, 2015; Funchal (d)Escrito - Ensaios sobre representações literárias da Cidade, monografia que organizou com Ana Isabel Moniz, Margarida Falcão e Leonor M. Coelho, 2011; Crónica Madeirense (1900-2006), antologia que organizou com Fernando Figueiredo e Leonor M. Coelho, 2007.

Coordenou o livro Leituras e Afectos: uma Homenagem à Maria Aurora Carvalho Homem, 2010.

Não descura a intervenção cultural.
