Maria Teresa Veludo, de seu nome completo Maria Teresa Marques Teixeira Veludo Nunes Barroso, nasceu em Peso da Régua. Frequentou o Liceu Latino Coelho, na cidade histórica de Lamego, tendo rumado a Coimbra em 1970 para frequentar o curso de Direito. Participou ativamente no movimento estudantil.
Atualmente reside em Lisboa.
Publicou os livros «Rasura do Silêncio» (2022), «Sôfregos São os Dias» (2023), «Azul Liquefeito» (2023), «Abraça-me em Maio» (2023) e «O Meu Rio sem Margens» (2024). Participou nas antologias «Duelos Poéticos» e «Madeiro – Fólios de Poesia III».
Integra a fonoteca de poesia Espanhola.
