Teresa Martins é o pseudónimo literário de Maria José Varandas, doutorada em Filosofia do Ambiente e da Natureza, com obra publicada nesta área. Distinguida em 2009 com o «Prémio Gulbenkian Ambiente» pelo ensaio Ambiente, uma questão de ética, estreou-se na ficção em 2022 com o romance Morada de Passagem. Em Aurora, a autora apresenta uma trama narrativa em que a reflexão ética ecoa na desordem do presente que ameaça comprometer o futuro da humanidade.
