A autora, Tânia Patrícia Coelho Raposo, licenciou-se em Enfermagem pela Escola Superior de Enfermagem S. Francisco Gentil em 2000, concluiu a Pós-Graduação em Enfermagem Oncológica pela mesma Escola, em 2005 e formou-se como Especialista em Enfermagem de Reabilitação, pela Escola Superior de Enfermagem Francisco das Misericórdias no ano de 2012.
Iniciou a sua carreira no Instituto Português de Oncologia de Lisboa, em 1999/2000, exercendo atualmente funções no Departamento de Cirurgia do Hospital do SAMS.
A sua experiência profissional passa também por ter sido formadora certificada em várias instituições bem como orientadora de alunos de enfermagem em contexto clínico.
