Stéphane Allix é jornalista. Foi repórter de guerra durante mais de 15 anos, mas a morte do irmão, em 2001, alterou-lhe o rumo profissional. Desde então, tem-se dedicado a explorar os mistérios da consciência e da morte.
É autor de uma série de documentários televisivos, Enquêtes extraordinaires, e fundou o INREES, o Institut de Recherche sur les expériences extraordinaires (Instituto de Investigação sobre as Experiências Extraordinárias), que se debruça com rigor sobre temas de ciência e de espiritualidade, da vida e da morte. Allix é também editor-chefe da revista Inexploré, nas fronteiras da psicologia, da espiritualidade e das ciências.
Escreveu várias obras, incluindo La mort n’est pas une terre étrangère. A prova foi um bestseller em vários países, conquistando os leitores e a crítica.
