Sophie Dahl começou a sua carreira como modelo, mas a comida e a escrita foram os seus primeiros amores. Tem agora um programa de cozinha, The Delicious Miss Dahl e publicou, em 2007, o seu primeiro romance, Playing with the Grown-Ups, depois da sua famosa novela ilustrada The Man with Dancing Eyes.
Sophie colaborou igualmente com a Men’s Vogue durante três anos e escreve atualmente para, entre outras publicações, a British Vogue, American Vogue, The Guardian, Telegraph Magazine, Spectator e The Times. Depois de uma estadia de oito anos em Nova Iorque, Sophie vive agora em Londres.
