Sofia Arruda nasceu em Lisboa, em 1988. Iniciou a sua carreira de atriz com apenas 11 anos. Sofia tornou-se conhecida no papel de Carmo, na série da TVI Super Pai, conciliando sempre os estudos com telenovelas, filmes e peças de teatro. Frequentou a faculdade Católica de Lisboa no curso de Comunicação Social com vertente em Jornalismo. Aos 31 anos, foi mãe de Xavier e Calma, Vai Correr Tudo Bem é o seu primeiro livro.
