Simone Caputo Gomes

Doutora em Letras (Literaturas de Língua Portuguesa) pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro (1988). Pós-doutora pelas Universidades de Aveiro, Coimbra e Lisboa, nas áreas de Literaturas Africanas de Língua Portuguesa, Literatura Cabo-verdiana e Poesia Portuguesa Contemporânea. Professora de Literaturas Africanas e de Estudos Comparados de Literaturas de Língua Portuguesa da Universidade de São Paulo (USP), onde coordena o Grupo de Pesquisa de Estudos Cabo-verdianos CNPq/USP. Condecorada com a Medalha do Vulcão de Primeira Classe (2007). Membro Honorário da Academia Cabo-verdiana de Letras. Cabo-verdianista.
