Simon Sebag Montefiore (nascido em 1965) é um historiador e escritor britânico. Os seus livros são verdadeiros best-sellers internacionais e estão publicados em mais de 30 países. O seu primeiro livro, Catherine the Great and Potemkin, foi finalista dos Prémios Samuel Johnson, Duff Cooper e Marsh Biography. Em 2004, Stalin: The Court of the Red Tsar arrecadou o History Book of the Year Award. A obra Young Stalin venceu o LA Times Book Prize para Melhor Biografia, o Costa Book Award, o Bruno Kreisky Award, e foi finalista do James Tait Black Memorial Prize. A Miramax Films e a Ruby Films já adquiriram os direitos para adaptação cinematográfica de Young Stalin. Simon Sebag Montefiore é Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature. Vive em Londres com a sua mulher, a escritora Santa Montefiore, e os dois filhos.
