Sílvia Teixeira, nasceu a 26 de março de 1977 em Beja, tendo vivido em Aljustrel até aos seus 23 anos, altura em que veio para Lagos, onde até hoje permanece. É Psicóloga, Pós-graduada em Coaching e Mestre em Intervenção Comunitária e Proteção de Menores. Sempre exerceu o seu trabalho com crianças, jovens e famílias e muita da sua inspiração deriva dessa experiência e dedicação. Em 2009 publicou o seu primeiro livro Um Grande Edifício mas Abstrato uma publicação apoiada pela Autarquia de Lagos. A Gata Estrela…uma luz para o Natal é a sua primeira obra para crianças e é baseada numa história real.
