Shakira is a Colombian singer, songwriter, dancer, and producer, born on February 2, 1977, in Barranquilla, Colombia. She is widely recognized as one of the most successful and influential Latin artists of all time, with a career spanning several decades and a global fanbase.

Shakira began her musical career as a teenager, releasing her first Spanish-language albums in the early 90s, but it was with the release of Pies Descalzos (1995) that she achieved great success in Latin America. This album includes hits such as "Estoy Aquí" and "Dónde Estás Corazón?", which made her a rising star.

Her international success began to grow with the album ¿Dónde Están los Ladrones? (1998), produced by Emilio Estefan, which contains hits such as "Ojos Así" and "Ciega, Sordomuda".
