Serafina Martins é Professora Auxiliar da Faculdade de Letras da Universidade de Lisboa, onde leciona a disciplina de Estudos Camilianos. Fez parte da equipa do Dicionário de Personagens de Camilo Castelo Branco e integra a Direção da Cátedra Camilo Castelo Branco, na qualidade de vogal. Publicou ensaios sobre o escritor, estando outros em curso, e divulga a sua obra em encontros científicos nacionais e internacionais. Foi, com Cristina Sobral e Carlota Pimenta, uma das editoras responsáveis pela organização e coordenação da obra Camilo Castelo Branco - Génese e Recepção (FLUL/Bertrand Editora, 2023).
