Sedrick de Carvalho nasceu em 1989, em Luanda. Jurista, editor, jornalista e ativista. Preso político condenado pelo regime angolano a quatro anos e seis meses no «Processo 15+2», em 2016, sob acusação de «atos preparatórios de rebelião» e «associação de malfeitores». Foi professor do ensino de base. Trabalhou nos jornais Folha 8 e Novo Jornal (Angola) e tem artigos publicados nos jornais Público e Jornal Económico (Portugal). Consultor de comunicação e imagem. Membro da Transparência Internacional – Portugal.
