Sara Correia

Sara Correia is one of the most promising voices in contemporary fado, born on May 27, 1993, in Lisbon, in the Chelas neighborhood. From a very young age, she was involved with the world of music, especially fado, thanks to her aunt, also a fado singer, Joana Correia, who had a great influence on her artistic trajectory. Her talent for fado was recognized early on, having won, at the age of 13, the prestigious "Grande Noite do Fado" competition.

At 24 years old, in 2018, Sara Correia released her self-titled debut album, Sara Correia, which quickly won over the Portuguese public and marked the beginning of her professional career in fado. This album, produced by Diogo Clemente, was well-received by critics and was a great success on the Portuguese charts. Her style, which combines the strength of fado tradition with an emotional and authentic interpretation, secured her a prominent place in the music scene.

In 2020, Sara Correia released her second album, Do Coração, which received even more praise and was nominated for a Latin Grammy in the Best Portuguese Language Roots Music Album category.
