SANDRA M. COVEY frequentou a Universidade de Utah, e a determinado momento da sua formação foi galardoada pelo College of Child Development and Family Relations. Era uma amante das artes, sentindo-se profundamente realizada com a inauguração do Covey Center For the Arts. Em 1955, integrava um coro religioso que estava em digressão pela Europa, quando conheceu Stephen Covey e de imediato ouviu uma voz no seu íntimo que lhe dizia: “Este é o homem com quem te casarás.” Sandra e Stephen viveram juntos e felizes mais de cinco décadas.
