Licenciado em Teologia pela Faculdade de Teologia da Universidade Católica Portuguesa.
Licenciado, mestre e doutor em Filosofia pela Faculdade de Ciências Humanas da Universidade Católica Portuguesa, onde é Professor Auxiliar, investigador integrado e membro do Conselho de Direção do CEFi – Centro de Estudos de Filosofia.
Membro da Direção do Instituto de Filosofia Luso-Brasileira.
Tem como principais áreas de interesse académico: Filosofia Contemporânea, Teologia Filosófica, Filosofia da Religião, Filosofia da Cultura, Filosofia da Arte, Antropologia Filosófica e Filosofia Portuguesa.
